I decided to put this website together after I saw a Yahoo Answers question. The question asked for a place where you could post poetry and get honest feedback. It reminded how much valuable information and critique I received in workshop classes at the University of NC – Wilmington. I wanted to find a way to translate that online. I looked to online class instructors, previous professors, and web communities to develop the formula for The Poem Workshop. This site’s aim is to provide online tools for better poetry. These tools will come from articles, essays, poems, and of course, critique. All skill levels are invited and I hope we can all foster a thriving community of poets.
